Win pound;100 in clothes vouchers

It's London Fashion Week, so spruce up your wardrobe and smarten up your act with this week's treat - a pound;100 voucher for a clothes store that stocks top designer gear.

We have five pound;100 vouchers to give away for TK Maxx, the discount designer store with more than 180 outlets around the country. For your chance to win one, just tell us which fashion icon said, "Fashion fades, only style remains the same". Was it Coco Chanel, David Beckham or Trinny and Susannah?

Mark your answer fashion and send it on a postcard to the TES address or by email to friday@tes.co.uk. Remember to include your name and contact details. Entries close September 29.

Oliver Twist book giveaway

Roman Polanski's film version of Oliver Twist is released throughout the UK on October 7 and to celebrate we've teamed up with Film Education, Penguin Books and Pathe Film Distributors to give away 20 copies of a new edition of the book published to coincide with the film release.

Dickens's classic tale has long been a favourite in schools and this new film provides the perfect opportunity for teachers to breathe new life into its study over a number of curriculum areas.

A free e-learning resource for teachers of key stage 3 and GCSE English, history, film and media is available at www.filmeducation.orgolivertwist.

Alongside the novel's historical background, you'll find interactive exercises designed to get students thinking about the themes of the book and film and examining ways in which novels are adapted for the cinema.

There's also a complementary study guide that tackles concepts of reality and fantasy, narrative construction and characterisation through a range of activities. Teachers can order a free copy through the Film Education website at www.filmeducation.org.

We have 20 copies of the new tie-in book to give away to the first 20 readers to reply to the competition question that can be found at www.filmeducation.orgolivertwistcompetition. Look out for our film screenings for teachers in the coming weeks.
