Reading the bans on marriage

Sex education - the issue that divided the Kirk - is back on next week's agenda at the Assembly.

The Scottish Executive has now released revised guidelines and materials to schools but commissioners are likely to press again for reassurances about theemphasis teachers are expected to place on the value of marriage and the type of materials that are deemed appropriate.

Other topics up for discussion are disruption in the classroom, the place of RE in the curriculum and teacher training.
