Reading extends its reach

The Scottish Executive's initiative to encourage parents to read with their children is to have its funding increased from pound;350,000 to pound;1 million. This will extend the number of small grants which last year were made available to 450 schools, nurseries, libraries and youth clubs as part of the home reading initiative.
