Reading inspiration

Read With Me is a booklet for children aged from three to seven and their parents. It brings together three short illustrated stories on a bedtime theme with a set of suggestions on how to fulfil the invitation offered in the book's title. The stories incorporate plenty of rhyme and repetition and opportunities for putting on funny and scary voices; they feature lost and found teddy bears, soft toys who tumble out the bed before being tucked in, and a surprising vampire. The advice is sound, clearly expressed and - though not original - worth wide circulation. Read With Me (order code A1579) costs pound;1 + pamp;p from the Basic Skills Agency:
