A new reality TV series about a touring rock band has been funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. Je Suis Un Rock Star, which is shown on Channel 4 on Saturdays, follows a group of 12 teenagers competing to become the three "fixers" for Liverpool band The Wombats on a tour around Europe. The programme is funded from a Pounds 6 million, three-year campaign by the Department for Children, Schools and Families to encourage teenagers to learn foreign languages.
