Recognition for excellent staff

Teachers could get their professional development accredited via a new "chartered" status proposed by the General Teaching Council for Wales. The council is consulting on a proposed framework which would recognise excellent classroom teachers and middle managers, and provide career stepping stones between newly-qualified teachers and heads.See www.gtcw.org.uk
