(Photograph) - Children at Grange primary in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, helped to set a bubble blowing world record last week. More than 200 schools and 34,000 pupils took part in the event organised by Flair, the makers of Gazillion Bubbles. The previous record involved 30,000 people. Richard Gerver, Grange primary's head, said: "We did pull 100 7- and 8-year-olds out of lessons to join in.

It was for five minutes." Photograph: Roy Kilcullen
