Replica gun shock

28th June 1996 at 01:00
A replica assault rifle similar to the ones used by NATO troops has been found on sale at a school's charity boot fair. The SA 80 replica was confiscated by police from the fund-raising event at King Ethelbert high school in Birchington, near Margate, Kent. Head Keith Ogg, whose pupils raised Pounds 1,200 to send to the Dunblane appeal fund, said: "Given the awful tragedy at Dunblane, this was an act of particular insensitivity, to say the least. "
