Ridings riposte

6th April 2007 at 01:00
I was appalled to read in your article "No more heroes" (TES, March 23) that the Ridings school in West Yorkshire was "plunge(d) back into disaster" after the two "superheads" left the school. This is a completely inaccurate description of the situation there.

If your reporter had taken the time to read the recent Ofsted report, she would have seen that the media bear a considerable responsibility for the position that the Ridings is currently in. Responsible reporting would not have exploited or sensationalised the matter further.
