(Photograph) - SCHOOLS such as Melbourn Village college could be big winners under funding changes announced by ministers this week.

For years, staff at the Cambridgeshire comprehensive have complained of being under-funded compared to their neighbours in Hertfordshire. Now, the gap is set to close.

But elsewhere, many schools could face rises of little more than inflation next year.
