Room to grow

20th June 2003 at 01:00
Are you thinking of adding a language suite or a technology room to your school? Does the library need an annexe? The Educational Buildings Guide from Wernick provides diagrams and photographs featuring dozens of solutions to accommodation problems. Using modular building systems - units formed of steel structural frames with timber walls and partitions - it's possible to produce new rooms of any size very quickly but without sacrificing sturdiness or comfort. The guide also shows examples of nurseries, classrooms for up to 35 pupils, science labs and canteens. The school's initial spec can be as rudimentary or as detailed as your imagination allows. The Wernick Educational Buildings Guide is available from Wernick.
