Running start for UK School Games

The UK School Games kicked off yesterday in the North East where the country's top young athletes will compete in 10 different sports. The event, which staged its own opening ceremony last night, will run across a four-day period, attracting 1,600 elite school sport stars. Pupils will compete in venues across Gateshead, Newcastle and Sunderland until Sunday.
