Eight of Russia's top young gymnasts arrived in Glasgow last week to train alongside some of Scotland's best. The visit is the result of an on- going partnership between the Glasgow School of Sport at Bellahouston Academy and the Olympic Reserve School, which aims to produce young gymnasts to compete at the Olympic Games in artistic gymnastics. The exchange programme gives Scottish coaches the chance to observe and work with some of the best coaches in the world and Scottish gymnasts the chance to train alongside their Russian counterparts. The partnership involves coach education, gymnastic performances and cultural visits, and culminated in a performance display on Tuesday. Later in the year, a Scottish group will travel to Russia and train at the ORS.
