Sad girls, politicos and manuals

NO wonder our political masters are losing patience with us. A threadbare educational establishment is unable to supply a suitable chair of the General Teaching Council, or a principal for the Leadership College.

Contrast this sorry state of affairs with our two main prties' quest for Mayor of London candidates. Selection procedures on both sides have obviously been models of openness and rationality, but just look at the calibre of the candidates.
