Samaritans embrace pupils

27th October 2006 at 01:00
Every secondary school in Britain and Ireland is to receive a pack from the charity Samaritans to help them deal with emotionally troubled teenagers.

The Deal (Developing Emotional Awareness and Learning) pack includes lesson plans and a DVD, designed to help teenagers overcome the stigma of asking for help.

Danny McNamara, lead singer of the pop band Embrace, talks on the DVD about his emotional problems as a teenager and how he turned to Samaritans for help.
