Sarcasm scorned

23rd July 2010 at 01:00

Your sarcastic reference to the recent Prince's Teaching Institute Summer School, which I attended, does not reflect the enthusiasm expressed by the 100-plus teachers who were there ("The Week", July 2). We all felt enriched by the seminar. The quality of speakers was high, the opportunity to mix with other teachers of our subjects was valuable, and no one asked me to curtsey.

Joanne Bissell, Head of humanities, Wednesfield High School, Wolverhampton.
