Scandalous Link

26th April 1996 at 01:00
We can exclusively reveal that Link, the magazine of the General Teaching Council, is not going to follow the lead of its counterpart in British Columbia. More's the pity some might say.

The council's Canadian sister organisation publishes the names and misdeeds of teachers who transgress the bounds of public decency, something the douce GTC disciplinary committee is loathe to do. Not even modest details are revealed, only that teacher X has been removed from the register.

Apparently, BC teachers lap up news of such transgressions. Scottish teachers are far too professional. Tough luck.
