Science advice

4th March 2005 at 00:00
There are many possible careers using the skills and knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (Stem), and the pattern of old and new qualifications is so labyrinthine that it's necessary to provide advice about advice. The Stem Careers Resource Catalogue is a comprehensive guide to hundreds of information sheets, booklets, short courses and websites through which teachers can help school leavers find details of gap years, apprenticeships, scholarships and educational routes to real jobs. The range of work stretches from the sub-atomic level to outer space. The Stem catalogue is being distributed to schools and is available from: etb, 10 Maltravers Street, London WC2R 3ER.
