Scientific discovery is about 13,000 times more interesting than the love lives of disc jockeys, but most newspapers don't yet seem to have noticed.

Now secondary school pupils in Northern Ireland have their own journal, bringing together stories that have more than ephemeral importance. Space Science News: Special Edition comprises a carefully selected set of articles on astronomy that have appeared in the Belfast Telegraph over recent years. The pieces are suitable for pupils at KS3 and are accompanied by stimulating classroom activities to develop interest.
