Science - Playtime for adults only

13th November 2009 at 00:00

Teachers and other adults are to be given the opportunity later this month to explore a kid-free Glasgow Science Centre, when it launches Social Science, the ultimate evening of "play" targeted at adults

On November 27, the centre will be turned into an adult playground with music, performance and play throughout the visitor attraction.

Scottish Ballet, partner for the Social Science event, will open the evening with extracts from the company's retelling of The Nutcracker in an exclusive preview to its Scottish tour this winter, while guests prepare for the night ahead by stocking up at the buffet and bar.

Inspired by the massively successful "Museum Lates" programme at London Science Museum, Social Science will allow adults to enjoy hundreds of interactive exhibits, without the guilty conscience of competing with a five-year-old.
