Night owls

The TES Nocturnal Animals collection includes the best resources to help pupils identify species, animal habitats and the characteristics of creatures which come out at night.

What's included?

Resources and references that help pupils to mount their own search for bats and owls. You could hide facts about animals around the classroom and get pupils to find them. Or you could turn off the lights and pull down the blinds to recreate a night-time expedition, in which pupils use torches to find nocturnal creatures.

A resource where information on nocturnal animals is provided with no hint of a comma or full stop helps to improve punctuation by asking pupils to decide how to break up the sentences.
