Scissor sister

Not everyone has accorded Frank Pignatelli's CBE award in the New Year Honours the dignity and gravitas it deserves.

Such disrespect must come even harder to the Learndirect Scotland supremo when its source is his elder sister, May, who has told her wee brother that it merely signifies he is a "clever bloody eijit".

How sharper than a serpent's tooth it must seem, to have a thankless sister - as the bard might have said.
