Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the SNP sent a sprinkling but the Tories must have had a three-line whip on MSP candidates who were present in shoals.

Either a whiff of former royal glory and the Senior Service still sends Tory hearts racing, or they all needed a stiff drink after listening to their leader being booed by workmen at Hampden Park.
