I am concerned about the proposals for introducing "external sponsors" to run our schools. Here in Haringey, Labour councillors and the Government tried to force through the out-sourcing of almost all the authority's primary functions to a private company. In the end none of them as good enough and Haringey Council had wasted months sorting out useless legal documents and dealing with the potential contracts. The Government has clearly not learnt from Haringey's mistake.
