Send a cow

10th March 2006 at 00:00
Send A Cow is a charity that enables poor African farmers to become self-reliant by providing them with livestock and training. Children at KS2 can find out more about the organisation's work from the Cowforce website and meet animated characters like Zizi the calf and Beeko the chicken, who help to explain why they are so valuable in African life. Or they can go on a tour of the continent by "goatcycle", moving from cities and villages to deserts and mountains, and meeting Rosie (a Rwandan orphan) who gives a guided tour of her house.
