NEVER believe a teenager's boast is our motto, so it's with a cellar of salt that we take Channel 5's claims that one in 20 school-leavers has bonked their teacher.

Some of the findings are nevertheless intriguing. Apparently, the rate ranged from one in 10 in oversexed Glasgow to one in 100 in celibate Birmingham.

Most fascinatingly, English, PE and language teachers were the most common love objects - except in London where teens preferred maths teachers. That explains the city's recruitment crisis.
