Shinty

8th October 2004 at 01:00
A new under-14 league has been started by the North region of the Camanachd Association to try to halt the decline in 12-to 15-year-old players due to the absence of shinty in the school curriculum. The league will stretch from Ross-shire to Lochaber and use grass pitches in autumn and spring and all-weather pitches in winter. Contact development officer Ronald Ross for details, tel 01540 661104.
