Shortages cause reduced timetable

Two schools have been on a reduced timetable because of shortages, it has emerged- a fact that would have been highly embarrassing to ministers had the news come out during the election campaign.

Southwrk junior in Nottingham operated on a reduced timetable for three weeks before half-term. St Chad's secondary in Southwark has also been on a short week. Both schools have resumed full timetables.
