Plaid Cymru has called for more clarity about where the funding for new education initiatives is coming from. Shadow education minister Janet Ryder said it was unacceptable that figures are not available for how local councils spend Assembly-allocated cash on different parts of the education service. Peter Black, chairman of the Assembly's education and lifelong learning committee, said he would write to the Assembly's finance committee.
