Sick woman unfairly dismissed

A TEACHER who lost her job at the private Gadds Hill school in Kent after being diagnosed with cancer has been awarded pound;17,441 in compensation.

Ashford employment tribunal found Lorna Hurrell had been unfairly dismissed and discriminated against on grounds of disability.
