Simply the best

Here are the shortlisted entries for the Education Resources Awards, to be announced on the second day of the show

Every year, the Education Resources Awards pinpoints the key resources released in the previous 12 months, providing a much-needed service to teachers. The awards showcase outstanding resources, allowing you to see the best equipment, software and books produced for your area of speciality.

Ray Barker, director of the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA), and chair of judges, says: "What makes these awards really different is that they focus on resources, services and people that really make a practical impact on learning and the day-to-day work of the teachers in the classroom. Over 25 expert judges, all educational practitioners, decided upon the winners - not an easy task because of the continuing high-quality and distinctiveness of UK products and services, many of which will be at the Education Show."

Shortlisted resources will be showcased at the BESA stand and the winners will be announced at a ceremony on Friday, March 10 at the Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham. The shortlist by category is: Early years
