Sir misses school bus

9th November 2007 at 00:00
A teacher was fined for speeding but held on to his driving licence, after worrying that he would be teased by pupils if he caught the school bus. David Chiodi, 33, head of ICT at Wey Valley School in Dorset, had been caught speeding for a fourth time. His lawyer said a driving ban would "impact on the public purse", because it would take him longer to travel between schools. Magistrates fined him pound;300.
