Sites snow joke

15th January 2010 at 00:00

In my experience, there are two main reasons why parents visit school websites: the first is to check on term dates; the second occurs in weeks when it snows and we need to know if a school will be open, closed or somewhere in between. If a website makes this information easy to find, visitors will return and rely on it. Yet in a week when school websites probably recorded their greatest numbers of hits yet, it was disappointing how many sites made those simple tasks difficult.
