From sixth form to Sir

Teacher Yvonne Green (centre) watches over Martin Gray as he gets a taste of teaching under the teaching bursary scheme at The Priory, Lincoln School of Science and Technology. Funded by local businesses, the scheme allows sixth-formers who are interested in teaching to visit other schools, as well as practice in their own.

"The scheme has been very successful in giving students an idea of what being a teacher actually entails," says The Priory's deputy head Steve Davies.
