Slavery projects

The Department for Education and Skills and Understanding Slavery, a scheme by museums, have produced a teaching pack and website to help citizenship and history teachers discuss the slave trade.

Schools can enter projects on slavery into a competition called The Big Conversation 2007, and the winners will take part in a debate at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. To register, email:
