Snack happy

1st October 2004 at 01:00
It's a good thing that Snacks from Around the World comes with a healthy eating guide, forcefully urging readers to have lots of rice and pasta and very much less of cakes and oils. The recipes are delicious enough to tempt most young palates, and the clear instructions make it easy for them to create cheese muffins and pizza, chicken kebabs and falafel, spiced nuts and stuffed dates. There is also helpful information on the culinary cultures of their countries of origin.

Snacks from Around the World costs pound;11.49 from Heinemann, part of a larger series called A World of Recipes.
