A day in the life of Olga Primary School London
Last term Olga teacher Keith Broad had two things on his mind: he wanted to draw attention to the problem of homeless teenagers in London and he wanted to raise money for a good cause. He managed to do both. He wrote his first musical, got 56 of the Bow school's 202 children - many of them with English as a second language - involved and has so far raised pound;500; half for his school and half for the St Botolph's Project, an East End-based charity for the homeless. 'Runaways' - which Keith says took him 'a couple of weeks to write' -is the story of two teenagers who end up homeless on the capital's streets. The production is half way through its run; two more performances are scheduled at the school for January 26 and February 2. These pictures were taken at a free Christmas performance at St Botolph's church.
