Education can give the best possible start in life to young people from the more disadvantaged areas within our community, some of whom are second or even third-generation unemployed. It can help them escape from the poverty trap. It can give hope in areas of hopelessness.

If education can get each child reaching their potential, then they can do something significant with the rest of their lives. Good education can eliminate many of the ills in society that the country is paying a very high price to correct later in life.
