5th November 2004 at 00:00
* Sony's HDR-FX1E looks like a standard camcorder, but it's the first consumer model to record high-definition pictures that hold four times more information than standard TV pictures. What's more, the HDR-FX1E records on the same size tape as ordinary digital camcorders and the file size is also the same. The HDR-FX1 is out this winter and will cost around pound;3,000.
