Soundbite;Parting shots

12th June 1998 at 01:00
The actress Judi Maynard was interviewed about her forthcoming role as Daphnedu Maurier in the play of the same name to be staged at Basingstoke's Haymarket Theatre. She is quoted:

"I don't like wigs very much, so I took a picture of Daphne to the hairdresser and had my hair cut and permed. It's not exactly a contemporary look, but it feels right.

"My son Henry, aged 11, was a bit taken aback, though, and said: 'You look just like my teacher'."
