Special school heads salary discussed;News in brief

A NEW formula to calculate the pay of heads in special schools has gone out to consultation. Consultants KPMG, commissioned by the School Teachers' Review Body, recommend that special school heads' pay should be calculated on pupil numbers, key stage weightings and the staff to pupil ratio. All full-time staff, including support and para-medical staff, would be counted.
