Specialism hopes

Yewlands School in Sheffield, where David Blunkett sends his two sons, is seeking to become a specialist technology college, after successfully raising Pounds 100,000 from private sponsors. The application, which is being backed by Labour-controlled Sheffield City Council, is in line with Labour's new policy of supporting specialist schools.
