Specialist information

11th March 2005 at 00:00
The rapid growth of specialist schools makes up-to-date information all the more necessary. Becoming An Engineering College is an 80-page report about recent developments in one sector, and what is planned for the future. It describes the increased precision and scope of engineering techniques and the new kinds of curriculum they require. It then outlines how imaginative teaching can help to open the borders between maths, science and technology. Finally, we learn how training and collaborative initiatives are helping meet these new needs. The report costs pound;10 (pound;8 for members) from the Specialist Schools Trust.

It can also be downloaded from the website.
