Specialist schools inquiry pledge

A BACKBENCH committee of MPs has pledged to question the Government's assertion that specialist schools contribute to raising standards across the secondary sector. One of the highest priorties of the Education Select Committee in the next Parliament would be to hold such an inquiry, the outgoing committee said in a report published today.
