Spiritualism lost to simplicity
I have attended several in-service training sessions on MI where teachers complete a simplistic questionnaire and then are given sticky labels to wear proclaiming what sort of thinker they are.
This crude way of defining people leads to stereotyping, fails to take people's real individuality into account and devalues certain areas of knowledge.
I teach religious education in a special school. Many of my pupils possess strong spiritual intelligence, yet this does not even make an appearance in the MI toolbox.
