Sports funding

30th May 2003 at 01:00
A new source of funding has been set up for teenagers who are seeking financial assistance to reach their potential in their chosen sport. The Birnie Trust Sports Foundation offers "a modicum of support" to 13- to 18-year-olds who show "dedication, determination and promise" in their sport and particularly wants to encourage athletes in the so-called minority sports to apply.

Contact the Birnie Trust Sports Foundatoin, co Johnston Carmichael, 24 Melville Street, Edinburgh EH3 7NS for a form.
