St Ninian's High and Williamwood

* Two East Renfrewshire schools, St Ninian's High and Williamwood, got the best results in the state sector for pupils gaining five or more Highers in S5 - 30 per cent, against the national average of 9 per cent. The best independent was the High School of Glasgow, with 78 per cent.
