Channel 4 is repeating two inspiring series of short films intended for older secondary pupils, Tate Modern (right) and National Gallery, which new teachers will find are well supported by notes on the website ( and relevant to curriculum areas, such as art, design, history and English. Each five-minute programme looks at a theme or topic through the eyes of artists, including the world wars, abstraction and perspective. From September 27-30, 10.20-10.25am, 10.50-10.55am and 11.20-11.25am.
