STEM centre opens

Lord Mandelson, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, officially opened the Reach Out Lab on Tuesday. The #163;915,000 centre, believed to be the first of its kind in the UK, was the brainchild of Lord Winston in his role as professor of science and society at Imperial College London. The centre aims to work with pupils and engage them with the STEM subjects. Since it unofficially opened its doors, 1,500 pupils have taken advantage of its provision.
