Mary Bousted took time out from the complexities of education policy this week to pay tribute to David Beckham. The England football captain, whose private life was aired in the media last weekend, remained a good role model for working-class young men. The ATL general secretary said. "David Beckham shows boys that it's OK not to be tough all the time. He plays hard on the pitch and then goes out in a sarong."
